Jubilee Academies Recognized as 2025 Charter District of the Year Finalist for Closing the Gap with Emergent Bilinguals
Jubilee Academies is proud to announce that we have been named a 2025 Charter District of the Year Finalist for Closing the Gap with Emergent Bilinguals, earning Third Place in this prestigious statewide recognition. This honor positions Jubilee Academies among the top-ranked public charter school districts in Texas, recognized for excellence, innovation, and student achievement.
The award was announced by Summit K12, a leading provider of online, standards-based supplemental curriculum, as part of the 2025 Summies Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding educational leadership and highlight districts that are making a measurable impact in supporting Emergent Bilingual students across Texas.
This recognition is especially meaningful given the scale of the competition. Finalists were selected from more than 750 districts, over 4,000 schools, and 100,000 Texas educators statewide. Jubilee Academies was chosen from over 650 Texas districts utilizing Summit K12’s platforms, based on exceptional performance in TELPAS results, high platform engagement, and innovative instructional strategies designed to accelerate English language development and academic success.

The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, during the 52nd Annual Texas Association for Bilingual Education (TABE) Conference, where educators and leaders from across the state gathered to celebrate best practices and excellence in bilingual education.
Since its launch in 2022, the Summies Awards program has evolved to ensure fair and meaningful recognition by categorizing districts based on emergent bilingual student population rather than total enrollment. This approach allows for equitable comparisons among districts serving similar communities and reinforces the credibility of Jubilee Academies’ recognition as a top-performing charter school district.
